I test fit the right front wheel last night, and the inside surface of the spokes just barely rubs against the outside face of the stoptech caliper....right over the part where the Stoptech logo is located. It's VERY close...so close that they might not rub at all if the calipers weren't painted. So, as I see it, my options are:
1) get out the dremel and file off 1 mm or so from that area of the caliper, and repaint.
2) file down 1-2mm from the inside surface of the wheel spokes.
3) return the wheels.
Any thoughts? I really don't want to return the wheels, and I think very little filing will be needed to get the wheels to clear. My concern is how much will the calipers expand when hot? How much clearance should I have between the wheel and caliper when cold?
TIA

i've talked to a number of people who don't think 2-10mm is a big deal. I wouldn't modify the wheels or the calipers.

spacer in there and they don't fit; I'd return them. That said, Dave Z, my brake guy did mention exactly your solution for me...but, that was to take it down so that I didn't have to use spacers at all -- not in addition to the spacers. You know StopTech recommends a 2 mm clearance, that may be for exactly the issue you are raising.
