Default except the one Hans refers to. Beaten by a Porsche 911... this is Audi's supercar? >>

they should be ashamed.
A turbo 911 would be an absolute embarrassment.

Pity, as it's a beautiful looking car

Default I think it's a matter of looking at what you get for the money.......

i've always been a huge Porsche fan - but quite honestly - they aren't the easiest cars to drive at the limit. Those who know how can - those that don't get bitten hard. That comes with the territory of owning a Porsche. I guess it's like comparing a Gallardo to a 911 Turbo - the Gallardo is $175k. Is it worth more? On the other hand - having both a V8 and a V10 will allow Audi to hit two different audiences. Personally - I'd wait for the V10 but then again - i'd just buy a used 993 turbo and have Evo take it to 600hp :-)

Default A comment from Evo's 997 Turbo and Gallardo comparison...

"Dynamically, the Turbo had its pants pulled down by the Gallardo on our favourite Welsh roads..."

If the R8 hasn't been completely toned down it seems like it will be a fantastic drive, even if the 997C4S makes it thru the 1/4 mile 0.1 second faster.
