Default Roadster ESP gets "confused" (more)

I've noticed on more than one occasion that the ESP system cuts in when it shouldn't. If I'm going round a tight downhill corner the ESP backs the power off when it really shouldn't. I know this because if the system is turned off there is absolutely no loss of traction at either end of the car (and this is at 20 mph). I can only think that the change in the cars attitude is confusing the sensor that measures the cars position relative to the steering. Anybody else experience this?

Cheers,
Paul.

I've also noticed that on few occations the ESP is a bit too hasty in cutting the power off. However, I think that in principle it works just the way it should because on these occations the tail really was about to slip. But I was expecting that to happen and it annoyed me to have power cut off when things got interesting :-) Luckily the ESP can be switched off if necessary. I think the ESP is very useful in slippery conditions but maybe not so useful in dry summer weather. In the snow and on ice it works beautifully.

Default I've never noticed a loss in power

My ESP came on once, in the dry when accelerating round a bend very fast.

The light came on but I felt now loss in power at all.

Are you sure it kills the power? I understood it to apply the brakes only.

Yep, it also kills the power when necessary.

Default I hope you have a bad sensor.

The sensor is a micro-machined element that employs the Coriolis effect to determine yaw rate. The design should not be that sensitive to tilt, but I haven't seen tilt data. I only ordered a car last month so I have no experience.
