Default rpms flucuate (drop) when idle?

Recently the TT ('01 1.8 coupe) has been dropping RPM's when it is sitting at a traffic light or whatever. It drops and then immediately goes back up. It's not a big deal to me, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem and what possible solutions there are?

Thanks.

Happy talk like a pirate day!

Default I had a similar problem, but the RPM's went up....it turned out the throttle body was dirty

a quick removal and clean, and the problem was gone....thanks to the members on this board who helped me diagnose the problem.

Hopefully, this will be your only problem
