Default An S-2000 tried to take me on today.......

It was a pretty even match. Every time I shifted I would pull away slightly, and then he would creep up on me as I neared red-line. Overall I gained about 3 car lengths when we hit 80 (in a 50 mph zone) going uphill and he slowed down flashing his lights behind me and waving for the good run I gave him.
It's good to be King. Now where is that **** boy.

Default I was willing to go further but the other guy backed off.

In Atlanta, on I-285, most people routinely go 20 over (55 mph limit and people drive 75-80 all of the time), not in burst but continuously. The high speed lane has them going 30 over one after another. The heavier the traffic, the faster they go (within limits) because there is safety in numbers. My brother-in-law would love to come over to Atlanta and open up his car on what he called the "Atlanta Raceway".

Default V-Tec cam probably didn't kick in yet.

Those S-2000's are very fast, but no torque. If he had a turbo, he would have creamed ya! Thing with the S2k is that the accelartion is so linear, you can't feel the speed until you look down at the tach at 8K and your are going 100mph in 3rd gear!!

Default He was on the cam because we were redlining......

Unless he was short shifting, which I doubt. I could see his face in my rear-view mirror and he was giving it all he could. The torque is the difference, specially going uphill. My torque was near my sweet spot when I shifted (hence I crept up) and dropped off as I reached redline (hence he gained on me).

Default Uphill? Well if level road he would have spanked you. Never the less, still a good win.

Are you a 225 or 180?
