So what part number heater did you use? I imagine the Raffi is pretty much the same mass...

Default The S line **** is hollow and very lightweight- I've only seen the raffi *****

but I was under the impression they were solid. I might bump up the wattage. I ordered HR5594R35.3L80E - If I did it again I would have went with a slightly longer heater. Does that help?

Default Yup, that helps. The Raffi is "solid" - what does yours weigh? I don't have a scale

here, but might bring it to a shipping store to get it weighed so I can compare.

Might way over-watt it too... Then put a timer on. Run it full power for a few minutes to spike up the temp, and trip a relay to some power resistors to reduce the heating power... Whatcha think?
