Which SCCA Class does the TT fit in? I went to the SCCA's website and didn't see it.

Default By the way, you can call Howard @ SCCA in the competition department...

Tell him what you have on your car and he will tell you what class to run. I was running my car in STX (grouped with WRX's, Type-R's, that sort of thing), until I added an FMIC and racing slicks. If your car is fairly stock, I would definitely run STX as it competes very well in that class (I never lost a race in that class). Keep in mind though, it is a street tire only class, so get some SO-3's or Pilot Sports if you want to compete well. CSP has a bit more competition, but is also a Race Tire class. E-mail me if you have any more questions.

Since I keep hearing it's a "smashed Beetle", shouldn't it then be in the same class as a VW Beetle?

Default W/O mods and stock wheels, my TT225 is in B-Stock . . .

I sent an e-mail to SCCA asking this question and that is what I was told.

Default Unless you have r-compound tires don't go into B

well, unless your the only one in the class on the others are on stock tires.. In my neck of the woods there are usually some heavy hitters in BS, so Id take my chances in STR (I think its STR.. do a search it will come up).. STR is a street tire class for the TT which allows some mods.. I use to run my maxima in STS because I was on street tires.. R-compounds are a blast because they are super sticky..
