Default Schwing.....The snorkel/intake pipe with the VTDA...

Sorry I missed your questions last night. Yeah, I asked about removing that part that attached to the airbox that seems to pull air in. Called the intake pipe on the diagram of the airbox you sent me. Was I supposed to leave it? Is the VTDA just pulling in air from around the engine? Would it work better if it pulled cooler air from the outside? I saw a few pics on the forum of what looks like a mini dryer hose where the old intake used to be.

Default I would leave it off...>>>

Part 10 right? It may disturb flow into the V-Stack inlet plus on a stock 225 there is no really cool air out there anyway since the heat from IC #2 flows through the wheel well. No point to mount hoses for the same reasons, unless of course you had an FMIC and could route some front facing hoses for truly cool air....

Default Great! I will leave it off..btw..you got a mount for the VTDA yet?

I thought I saw something a few days ago on the forum that looked like it held the VTDA in place.

Default I wondered about the temp of the IC-wash from wheelwell >>>

so now the question is: which air is worse? engine compartment or wheel well?

I even wonder if there is any neg pressure in the wheelwell due to bernoulli effect since the IC-wash air is rushed out the well vents.

Steve - Am I correct that this would work for the TTDA too?
