Default See what happens when I don't post on AW in a while--->

1. My fuel gauge now only reads 3/4 full after topping off
2. My parking lights wont turn on
3. The hatch wont stay up, in fact it conked me on the head causing a nice cut but no stiTTches, thank you
4. The glove box won't open! even when unlocked!!

Any ideas on the fuel gauge?

Default Fuel gauge is either...

fuel sending unit or the forewarning that the instrument cluster is going South...

Default people have had luck using

a pink pencil eraser on the contacts on the fuel sending units.

others say that some techron or fuel injector cleaner did the trick.

good luck.

Default ...the sending unit

requires gas tank removal, right? I wonder how many '03's have had clusters go south?

Default My gas gauge was the instrument cluster - i'm an 03 - just replaced

no other instrument cluster problems as well. Thought for sure it was the fuel sending unit, but was the cluster!

Default interesting! did you have the same

symptom of not quite showing full fuel upon topping off?
