Semi-OT: Are there any Porsche 901's out there? I'd imagine they're worth a pretty penny if so....

Default Interesting Jerry Seinfeld story.....

While I was in Tampa a few years ago picking up the 993 that I had bought, The owner of the shop that did the work on the car invited me down the block to a private collection he maintained for a wealthy local. The inside of this "warehouse" was as nice as my house and approx. 20,000 sq. feet filled with Porsches. One of which was a perfect 901. He told me the story that Seinfeld had bought the car and commisioned someone to make it street legal. After tens of thousands of dollars, Seinfeld never paid for the work, the car was rescued by this collector and brought back to original.... It was stunning.

Default I'm suprised Seinfeld let that car go, seeing as how much of a Porsche nut he is (more)

I've read a lot about his love of Porsches (being a nut myself). Its funny to go back and watch reruns of Seinfeld on TV, and seeing Porsches littered all over the place throughout the show. Posters, pictures, real cars on the streets, etc.

Default This guy had nothing good to say.....>>

about him. Surprised me as well. I'm a Porsche fan also having had 7 911's ans 1 944. Unlike Jerry, I never had the money to really play out the fantasy!!

Default 7 911's? I'm guessing not all at once.. :)

But actually, that's not the first time that I've heard Seinfeld is a real jerk, in all ways. I've never heard a 'good' thing about him when encountered by a normal person like you or I.
