Default I briefly worked at Draper Labs, in the group that made a semiconductor accelerometer....They then

liscenced (sp?) they technology to Motorola, who uses them in Airbag sensors...
You see that in the diagram on page 26 of Jouhn's Post...It's a Micromachined Silicon part.

Very cool technology...

All of my work experience is centered around Micro-Mechanical Devices and Laser Diode Engineering.

My product line: http://www126.nortelnetworks.com/products/tunable_trans.html<ul><li><a href="http://compoundsemi.com/documents/view/generic.php3?id=377#top">What I do.....</a></li></ul>

Default LOL....If you really wanna know.....(Warning: Geek Speak inside)

I do the actual VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) crystal growth and then another group fabricates the Micro Electro Mechanical (MEM) Structure on top of it.

Yep...I'm a big geek! :-D

(I have no affiliation with TEC Optics, just using thier refeernce pages)<ul><li><a href="http://www.tecoptics.com/etalons/">Fabry-Perot Etalon Theory</a></li></ul>
