Default Service from dealer other than where car is bought

I intend on buying my TT in S. California, next time I'm on the mainland for business and shipping it back to Oahu. From reading some of the threads here, I'm come to believe nothing MAJOR will go wrong with my TT. Except a few minor things.. still I wonder
can I rely on getting good service from a dealer that I didn't buy from?

BTW... the local guy wants $6000 over msrp. Thats why I'm not buying from him.

If anyonw has experience with the local Audi guys here please let me know

Thanks

Default ANY Audi dealership will GLADLY be your source for service, no matter where you buy. (more)

...because a HUGE part of their income is derived from service. They're not picky about where you made the deal.

Default

Although they won't usually give you a loaner, in my experience

Default I got my car in CT and have it serviced on Long Island . . .

The only thing I don't get is a loaner, but that is about to change once the dealer finishes contructing the new dealership.

What does it cost to ship a car from CA to HI?

Default You obviously don't live in Austin!

There's one Audi dealer here and most people that I know would rather drive 1-4 hours to Houston, Dallas or San Antonio to get service. They are rude and act like they would rather be doing something else! They discourage service and make it difficult all around...

AOA if your monitoring, it's Charles Maund!!!

Larry,

It's $850 & since I'm flying in on my company's business, it makes ($) sense.

Thanks

Default I thought it would have cost more to ship a car to HI than that .. .

It is almost worth it to drive cross country and ship a car there for a few weeks, just to say you did it!

How long does the voyage take for the car? A couple of days, or just a day? Does it have to sit in customs or anything, maybe the Dept of Agriculture or something like that?
