Default Shamelss plea for sympathy--I crashed

I crashed into a beer truck this morning, crunching the front end, mostly the left side, pretty bad. The wheels are OK, and it rolled onto the flat bed OK, but there were fluids and broken plastic everywhere...maybe it looked worse than it really is?

Initial estimates is that it will be in the shop for at least four weeks, since they had a "nightmare" getting parts for the last TT they had in the shop.

Anything I should be aware of, or on the lookout for as the body shop and insurance company lead me through this mess?

Default Don't let them try to "fix" anything, insist on EVERYTHING being replaced - IMO!

Most of the front of the car is disposable bits and pieces anyway - VERY expensive. I was in a fairly minor accident (no structural damage) and the bill was around $4k... :-(

Hope your car is all better soon!

I smashed into the front of it acutally...only slightly bent the bumper. He was turning left, I was going straight. I don't remember any of it, but it seems that it was my fault.

Default I had my front end replaced radiator forward. $9,000.

It's like 10% of the car but 25% of the cost of a new one.

mine is fine, but only because my lease is up in 3 months. There are some little things wrong but they are not safety issues nor are they going to cost me $ at lease turn in. But I will post my VIN to make sure none of my friends here get this car.

Make sure someone who has actually worked on a TT before does the work. It's weird under there.

Sorry to hear that... I've had a rash of not paying attention here lately too.
