Default Shell or Chevron?

I cant find shell just now, so I filled up chevron..then I had the fun drive to mountain...the car seems running rich, and the turbo/ breath much better and louder.

is chevron better than shell for performance? or it just my feeling.

Default yet another coincidence>>>

I am on second tank of gas with the Chevron Techron additive. My highly modded TT has been knocking very badly....cylinder 4.....effect?....retard ignition = lw full throttle power.
This techron stuff is the real deal.....made by Chevron (check out the web site) and by far the best cleaner at any price.
Chevron gas has smaller quantities in it....if Chevron was in my area that would be my gas. Told they make Texaco too....not sure we have them around either.
If you have it....buy Chevron....

Default The knock issue prompted me to do some research>>

while they all get gas from the same place it is the refining process that seperates the good from the bad. And the bad is usually the stuff we buy because its the cheapest...."hey, why waste money, right?"..nonsense.
From now on no more Enrite crap (but my issue probably resulted equally from dead coil leaving unburned gases in chamber)and every 2K a tank load of Techron.
Read up on the independent tests....search on additives...go also to anything about techron including the Chevron site

Default Well, everytime I fill up at Hess..(which is rare) my car performs as if I pumped 87 octane gas...

even though it is 93.
I wish I knew how to conduct a test to substantiate that.

Every other gas station seems to be the same. I prefer Mobil, Chevron or Shell for the additives they offer.
