shifting between 1st and 2nd gear
Does anyone notice a clunking noise at low speeds and low RPMs between 1st and 2nd gear when you shift? If I shift a higher RPMs, the clunking is gone?

yeah, i've never had any problem from shifting from first to second at low rpms in my tt. might just be the way your shifting? Or could be something wrong with your clutch.

From what you're describing it sounds like your clutch is 'dragging' and not fully disengaging this
...could be cured with a cable adjustment. How many miles are on your car?

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT IDIOT BEHIND THE GREEN CURTAIN
...You know sometimes I don't think, during my years (decades ago) as a motorcycle mechanic the problem was almost always a streched cable; the TT has a hydraulic clutch ...DAH !!! I just answered without thinking even though whatI said makes sense if the TT had a cable actuated clutch which it doesn't
