the 225 has the dual exhaust tips, right? and what's the difference engine-wise, just more boost? is one better/more responsive to tuning? and the 6-speed is only available on the 225, right? sorry for all the newbie questions, thanks so much-

The 225 has a bigger turbo(k04 apposed to the k03 for the 180), along with dual intercoolers..one on each side under the hood..

and obviously you can see where the ICs are installed.. if its got one on both sides,Bingo!!!, theres your 225 !!!
225 have a larger turbo but more difficutl to notice that...

To date , 180 can be upgraded a lot with a Stage III kit, something that is no yet available for the 225s.. but we´re talking a lot of $$$ for the STG III....

does that make it more difficult/expensive to tune since the 180 shares the same engine as the golf/jetta/passat/A4? (or since the 1.8t on all of those is K03-based?) thanks much-

Single exhaust = 180 unless it has been modded. Duel = 225 and looks soooo much better.
