I have a sun shade and it doesn't do jack diddy for cooling the aluminium bits.
It's the ambient heat inside the car that burns me down here in F-L-A.
IF you guys would stop dragging Denny to every little po dunk town in the northeast with statuary on weekends maybe she could knit those gearshift covers that she talked about last year!

Agree, I always cover mine when parked and it still gets hot
Heat is obviously transmited from the body or transmission and up the shifter shaft. If it really bothers you, try a leather or wood aftermarket shift ****. Just be glad you don't have the "branding iron" all metal shifter in the S2000.
