Default SHOULD I REMOVE AND INSTALL ECU MYSELF?

Hello all,

Should I remove my ECU myself and send it out for chip upgrade? Or have a cusromize shop professionally do it? I have got some prices, charge me like $100 extra over chip cost.

Default I... I mean "my friend"... had a shop do it.

The shop I went to installs chips while you wait. That way you don't have to pay FedEx to ship your ECU back and forth over night, and you won't have to be without your car for a couple days. Plus a shop would likely know better what they are doing. At least they did for me... I mean my friend.

Default Most everyone in the know is at TT East...but as I recollect it wasn't too bad

Hit search as I recollect that there was a post about how to do it.
Then again if you don't want to (or aren't comfortable) $100 is pretty cheap way to insure you can blame someone else if something goes wrong.

Default Rapid Auto Parts in Monsey NY...

Search the APR website for directions. They'll do it while you wait and they charge $50 to do the chip.
