The similarities and differences are much more obvious when compared in this fashion, especially with the side views.
You can see how the wheelbase on the new version has been stretched with a longer door and note that the sweep of the roof rakes back at a more gentle angle making for less of a "trunk" lid. Very subtle, but it is longer. There is a greater nose overhang, probably to accommodate a larger engine bay and more powerful engines.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Other notable differences: Door handle has dropped down. New one piece side windows and the side mirrors are more forward, probably reducing the "blind spots". Longer and more squat rear quarter panel window, also rounded at the point. But no more sharp crease line on rear deck lid, I'll miss that! :/

design in my opinion. I'll wait to see the real car though before passing judgement.

but the biggest problem i have is the crooked lines on the new one.....the line of the lower door, the side view mirror taking up the front roofline.....
oh i dunno. i don't wanna nitpick, but i always saw the TTs design as quite pure and minimal in its functionality.....the new one just looks like another car....devoid of stylistic minimalism.
but yes, the new one does look very simliar to our TTs in some ways...but some of the changes just don't suit the image.
i'm guessing the taillights will be different on the real version, since these seem to be masked on the spy version as well....but as far as i've seen in pictures, the new taillights are even bigger than ours and wrap around the sides more.

appears to have allowed the engine to be moved forward and to then move the cabin seating forward allowing more headroom in the rear seat, which is what audi said they were going to try to do. i wonder how much if any "extra" room there will be in the engine bay?
