Default Cold is cold

Tires do not heat up in the winter...the constant contact with the ground dissipates whatever heat may be created from friction.

The current winter tire technology utilizes special rubber compounds that actually soften as they get cold. If it's cold outside, high performance tires, with very little siping (small custs in the tread), are like driving on solid blocks of rubber. Get the winter tires on!

I would think, that unless you do a dragster style burnout the tires would never heat up.
