A flying saucer moment
Price: $14,999.95; Ages: 16 and up; Hammacher Schlemmer

This "levitating" hover scooter rises inches above the ground and can transport the rider across land on a cushion of air. The hover scooter is powered by a four-stroke internal combustion engine that operates for about an hour on a full tank of unleaded gasoline. But it comes with a warning: "Maintain safe distance from spectators at all times during operation. Not for use on public streets, sidewalks, and thoroughfares."

Default heyTrey, ya, seems like I'm always hurt...this time was playing racquetball..

just stepped back, then...snap! achilles tendon just ripped in half. Over the last four years, Iv'e had three major surgeries - right shoulder reconstruction, left achilles rupture and now the right achilles. Think I need to take up underwater basket weaving or something.

Default C'mon... just call up J&J and get them to release to you one of their special

Dean Kamen wheelchairs (ala Segway human transporter fame). The chair can go up and down stairs, raise up to eye level and hold itself on 2 wheels.
