Default thx...

I think I am going to route the antenna all the way back to the roof...are you using the FM modulator or have it hard wired into the stereo?

Excellent. One question tho... how is screen clarity when you are in the driver's seat?

Default More info...

I hardwired it using the Soundgate adapter. The reason I opted for this rather than Jeff Bipe's auto sensing switch, is that I have two external sources, the roady2 and an ipod. Jeff's works with only one external source. The soundgate has a 3-way toggle switch that toggles between ipod, roady2 xm and OEM CD magazine.

I used a 6 to 12 VDC transformer to hardwire the power to the ignition key switch.<ul><li><a href="http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundsds1.html">soundgate adapter</a></li></ul>

for $70 I might try it...but I got this for now...at least the inline antenna link up should make for better sound...<ul><li><a href="http://www.xmradio.com/catalog/product_detail.jsp?id=28448&amp;type=Accessory">xm kit supposedly works on sirius units...</a></li></ul>

This looks very interesting...certainly a lot easier than hardwiring signal line...

Default Yeah I am going to keep an eye on that spot for a while

just to make sure it's not leaking. Still a little worried about that.

As far as the magnet not holding, I don't think that will be a problem. That sucker is strong. I can barely lift it off... it was to the point that it got annoying when I was installing and kept "accidentally" setting it down. I'd say it's not going anywhere, but thanks for the caution... will still keep an eye on it.

Default Very sharp and easily readable. The angle makes no difference

Plus, the plastic edging around the actual screen flares out, so it doesn't block any part of the screen when viewing from that angle.
