Default Small budget audio upgrade - what do you think? >

Hi everyone,
I have concluded that the realistic budget for my audio upgrade is smaller than previously calculated.

What do you think about the idea of just upgrading the front speakers with the Infinity Kappa 60.7, 2ohms for about 150 plus install? Would these be some improvement over the existing BOSE?

I would like to get these and make some other non-audio upgrades and keep me until next Spring.

Thanks.

I don't understand why you would want to upgrade over Bose speakers. You can't get much better than those.

Just my opinion. I love my Bose stereo in my TT.

Default Have you replaced the headunit? >>

Replacing the headunit nets a dramatic improvement in sound...

Default To each his own but I think it lacks highs and any real bass. I bought an Eclipse...>

HU and 2 small JL subs but with the plan of 4 MBQs and dual JL amps plus the whole install it looks like I'm getting close to 2K. I am not ready for that yet.

I would like to "patch it" just with new fronts.

What do you think?

Default I think changing over to the infinity's would be a downgrade...

too tinny and they wont fit in the whole system setup since there is a bose amp that probably has built in crossovers. even if you installed better speakers with that amp in place you would be limited by that amps ablities and what it is outputting to the speakers. why not just wait and then change the whole system. think german & northern european...not japanese. FOCAL speakers, subs & BLAUPUNKT headunits
