small rant... people sometimes wonder what sets this forum apart...

Well, after my tiny foray into another world today, (planet vortex), I have some ideas.
First that forum is not image friendly, that is I could not get images into post, nor do most posts include images. IMO this leads to a reliance on the written word. Unfortunately the art of writing coherent sentences is a long neglected art.
Second the diversity of cars and specialized forums has segmented the audience to the extent that provincial xenophobia is the norm.
Thirdly, I would guess from the few profiles I looked at that the average age is much less then in our little town ;-) Granted old people can be a pain in the ***, but at least they have a good reason for their crabbiness ;-)

there are many more people into determining whether a mod is worthwile or not - most just don't buy into the "it's great cause I bought it and said so" stuff.
