So here's what I did about an extended warranty . .
I purchased a 2-yr, 24K mile warranty for $1450. Given I've averaged 1851 miles/month, this will just get me to the end of my lease next December, when I decide to keep the car or go into the new TT or - gasp - look elsewhere. So for now, it's back to enjoyment as usual, and anxious waiting to see what the new car looks like. Oh, the extended warranty is renewable in case I do keep the car. I'm feelin' good about this decision.
