Default So much older than the TT, yet still so sexy (BWW)...

Got lost on my way home from a construction site today and bumped on this... Sorry for the awful quality of these cellphone pics but nevertheless try to notice the red cylinder head behind the grills. I quess words aren't enough.

Default hmmmm, more than likely>>>

that looks to be a converted early 911E with some nice body work done to it...which is what i would love to do..true RS's did not have a lot of chrome on them...plus, the pic of the rear deck has the blank section in the grill where the 911E sig would go...
Still...i love old porsche's....

Default You should have seen the interior (edited)!

Racing Sparco's, a couple of fire extinquishers and an original Porsche rev counter that reads up to 8k rpm and had no red zone...!

Default Actually>>

not to say I know a lot about old Porsches, but didn't the "2.7" badge go on that blank spot on the grille? And I believe that the real RS did have some chrome trim. So it _could_ be a real one.... not sure. It definitely has all the correct body parts.

Here's a known real one:

Default to a degree..but you need to look at the front fairing>>>

on the yellow one...and the badge size is wrong...the yellow one looks to me, like 911E...

Also note, no hood pins on your pic and the latches on the rear hood are too long....

again..tough to 100% sure..but to me, it looks like a 911E..or a T with a carrera wing, which cost less than 800$ in reproduction.....VIN would tell the whole story...just my opinion

Default I agree... lots of fakes out there>>

I've considered making one myself. I think the Carrera RS was the hottest 911 ever.

Default pick up Excellence mag from this month...slick 911E>>>

converted to vintage race look...running a 911SC motor (3 litre) in it...read light, with 230hp...very quick car....

older narrow body 911's weigh in around 2200 to 2500lbs....and if ya strip the toys outa them, you can get them close to 2000....so its quick!
