so my car went momentarily insane yesterday...
Friday I drove the car (180FWD) home from work in heavy rain and put it in the garage as normal. Saturday the car sat all day and was never started. Sunday I jump in and try to start: I get this weird clicking and the engine tries to turn over -- it turns over but slowly... kind of feels like a dead battery, but not quite: all the panel lights are flashing and the windows are moving up and down in time with the clicking. Car refused to start after 20 seconds or so of cranking.
Then, I turn ignition to off, wait a few seconds, and turn it on again... I see the "OK" and think perhaps it wasn't displaying "OK" on the prior attempt? I try to start the car, and it fires up normally. The clock is showing the 1998 display (it has done that to me once before in 3 yrs), but otherwise car seems fine. Go for 25 mins of normal driving, including a stop and restart, then put the car away.
Today I go to start in the morning (specifically waiting for the "OK") and everything's fine. This evening car runs fine also, but I notice that the radio is in SAFE mode (I hadn't used it since Friday, so I assume it happened when the car went crazy on Sunday).

sounds like an electrical short....hence the reset on the ecu..
check your battery. Maybe if your in a really rainy area you might want to use dielectric grease on contacts, terminals and sparkplugs...will keep alittle water off and lower resistance...
