no note just parked and left his car, prob didnt even look to see what damage he did.

just took pics of hsi car, vin, the spot, my bumper, his lic plate, the mark and how it lines up with the screw on his plate etc...

left him a note with my phone number to call but if he doesnt ill file a poilce report

took a pic of the note on his car as well

anything else i can do? gonna go down and check if he got back to his car yet

i figure when/if he calls, ill tell him to either go thru his ins, or give me $250 to cover repairing the damage and ill give him a release

within my first 24 hours I was hit in my car.... just a scratch on the rear bumper, but where he hit it essentially dictated needing to repaint the rear bumper.... long story short, they wanted I think about $547 to do that, and that was the cheapest of the 3 estimates I got.

way you know it will be done right at a garage of your choice. Since it was his fault you have the right to choose your own estimate.

$250 is way to low on the price. I had someone back into me about 2 months ago and it was $450 get the bumper re-painted. Good luck with his insurance company, Minnesota is a "no fault" state so I had to hire an attorney to get 75% of the damage to my car paid for even though I was parked at the time.

If you going to have it professionally done its in the 500 dollar range. The whole rear bumper has to get repainted.

you should call you insurance and ask their advice... and you should probably file a police report yourself.
