Default So what can I expect of of the TT?

Well I've been looking high and low for a replacement for my 3000Gt and I've fallen in love with the TT. However I do have quite a few questions before I take the plunge.

*Will any 1.8t exhaust manifold bolt on to the TT's 1.8t (I'm considering going straight to t3/t4)?
*What kind of horsepower can I expect to see from this car with mild, medium, and wild upgrades?
*Who owns the fastest and or highest power tt and what has it been upgraded with?
*Any one ever drag their tt? What times did they get and what were your mods?
*What is the stock injector size?
*Does the TT Quattro have a transfer case and LSD's?

Basically my questions all build up to this. Can an audi tt be made into a High11-Low12 Second car and yet be reliable?

Thanks Everyone!
-Paul

Default Let me skip to your last question....>

No. Not without the infusion of about $30-40K worth of mods.

Holy Crap! How?
I figure 400 bucks for injectors
A t3/t4 turbo and manifold can be picked up NEW w/ Bov, Wastegate and intercooler included for
1000-1500 dollars
Supra fuel pump, fuel lines, blah blah blah another 500 bucks
Upgraded Clutch and Flywheel
1000 Bucks....

ehh if I'm wrong correct me....

I'm guessing the internals are not strong?

Default 5K just for the APR stgIII kit that's only available for the 180. start there. then add>>

1000.00 for proper FMIC
500.00 for Chip EMAC
1200.00 for flywheel and clutch

Maybe there's a new LSD in there somewhere.

However, you can go the route you listed if you don't care much about reliability.

The 1.8t is an incredible engine. Expect to pay $$$ to get those numbers you seek while maintaining reliability.

You have to remember that you are talking about a 3500lb car to start with This is not a light weight s2000, lotus elise, or honda civic for that matter.

Default To move a 3500lb car through the quarter in 12 sec..>

Would take 400 wheel HP and close to 500hp crank on a Quattro. The only place you're going to get those numbers is with an HPA twin Turbo VR6 conversion....Bolting on a $900 kit without software ain't gonna do it. Sorry, it's a heavy car.

HP/ET calculators

Well yeah I know I'm dealing with a Lightweight car here. I used to drive a tank (4000lb 3000gt).

I've dealt with this company before any the only gripe I have with them the manifolds tend to rust faster then usual. However it can be remedied with Hi-temp ceramic coating. The BOV's they provide are nothing better then fancy paper weight.

Then comes fuel, lsd, and clutch as well as some tuning?

Believe me I'm not coming here as a smart *** or a ricer. I do want to learn and I do appreciate all the responses thus far.

Default That's just the start..>>

A stage 3 on a 180 will crank about 325 HP on 100 octane. Still pretty shy of where you want to be.
