Default Call your insurance agent

I had someone key my car a few months back, and my insurance considers it vandalism and it only carries a $100 deductible and there was no increase in my premium (comprehensive, so you are not considered at fault and they can't raise your rate) You definitely need to talk to them, I was worried it was going to cost me atleast the $500 deductible I have, but they were very helpful and pleased to inform me that it would only be $100.

I only had 1 key mark accross the drivers door and rear qtr panel, and the bill that was sent to insurance was $900.

Feel free to email me if you want more info.

Default I had that happened to one of my cars once. I knew who did it but

didn't want to get involved and go head to head with gang members. But everyday when I looked at the key mark, it boiled my blood. Is it really deep? If so, you are going to have to paint the whole hood. I am sure it would be cheaper if you just pay fr it vs. getting it done through your insurance, and who knows maybe even get your rate up because of it.

Default Rates won't go up

It's considered comprehensive and can't be factored into your insurance premium. He would save alot of money filling an insurance claim for this vs. paying out of pocket.

Default When the clear coat get scratched it will often look pretty bad

But will a little well applied buffing you can make it go away. But if they scratch through the color coat down to primer or bare metal buffing won't help.
