So what's everyone's take on the new Crossfire SRT-6?
#26
I drove the Crossfire coupe, but not an SRT-6, a few weeks ago.
Interior: cheesy. Doubt that the SRT-6 uses upgraded materials, so a $45k+ car is still going to come with a bunch of crap materials in the inside; the dash board is just plain fugly. Plus, the car is built for a midget. I had zero headroom at less than 6'2", and the driver's side seat is located so close to the door that you can barely fit your hand between the seat and the door to adjust the power seat switches.
Visibility: makes the TT visibility look tremendous (although I've finally got the side mirrors on the TT positioned so that the blind spots have gone away). The rear window is about the size of a postage stamp, and the rear pillars are huge.
Suspension and steering: it felt floaty, and the steering was far from the most responsive I've seen. When I turn the steering wheel, is it asking too much for the wheels to turn? Maybe that option costs extra? I haven't looked at the specs, but from what I remember, the SRT-6 just has an engine with more HP and torque, and the suspension, etc., hasn't been upgraded.
