Default A Sobering Return to So. Florida after yet another month in Belgium...

Yesterday I briefly returned to my office in south Florida only to find out that there has been yet another "re-organization". This time the entire IT development and support organization was sacked on the day before the company holiday party, no less! The word is that all IT functions for the Americas is moving to a huge central facility in Tempe, Az.

I guess I should consider myself fortunate to be out of that organization and working as a displaced nomad in Brussels 75% of the time.

The writing is on the wall that my project and responsibilities will shift from Brussels to Tempe once the new digs are ready. So I guess that's a good thing. At least I'll be able to blast back and forth across the country in my totally under-utilized TT...

In the meantime, I guess I will miss yet another South Florida TT event (TT Extreme South) as I will be back in Belgique for the month of January. I'll have to figure out how much Chimay I can bring back with me after my January trip just in case it's my last one...

Default Ahhh... life on the road

I put 3k on my TT the first YEAR, along with 250 hotel nights, 180k airmiles, etc. It sat in the garage... patiently awaiting for my return. It's a much happier car now, given that my projects are now locally based. =)

Default OMG What a shock. Those poor IT folks... my heart goes out to them.

sounds like something the 'business' my husband works for would do.

Default I'm planning on going to Belgium next Spring for the classics....

Ronde van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix.

I usually stay in a friend's hotel in Oudenaarde.

How's your Flemish?

LOL, about as good as you would expect from a French-Speaking (barely) Puerto Rican!
