Default SoCal dreaming...

As you may know, I established the SoCal Audi TT Club about a year ago. Currently we are up to almost 100 members. I'm guessing that close to half of those are actual TT owners residing in Southern California.

Many of these folks communicate with me routinely via e-mail, yet few post on our Yahoo Clubs site, and even fewer post here, even though most are familiar with this site. The only regular SoCal folks here seem to be me, TP and dmf.

There seems to be a lot more East Coast folks here, while most of the West Coast folks could really give a damn. I wonder why?

Default In this thread, I would like to be called a "regular" :-)

Rather than paint a negative image, I prefer to say that there are a lot of great folks in diverse parts of the country and even internationally, that I enjoy seeing here - frequently.

Those of us that are indeed "regulars" just happen to have the flexibility in our lives to be 'here' more often.

Enuff on this subject. I am glad we are all here.

Hello Glen, no negativity is implied here. Just an observation. I wonder why West Coast folk seem to have less of an interest in participating here that their East Coast brethren?

Default It's odd in that...

... my guess is that on the "internet connectivity" chart, the actual numbers are higher on the West coast while the amount of time (for work, weather, a billion other reasons we could propose) per session is higher on the East coast.

Also, access being restricted or less common in many parts of Europe (especially Eastern Europe) explains - to some extent - the lack of European participation. Along with, of course, language issues.

Default Could it be West Coast folks work on the web and cruise, East Coast...

folks aren't as heavily involved in building the web and tend to hang out, play and chat more. Just an obervation from the south, but bi-coastal, too.

Agree, West coasters look at logging off as getting home from work.

Default Re: SoCal dreaming... Then again

I have one. Cal people are waiting longer for their TT, like me. So, we don't have them yet to comment on.

BTW, I joined the S Cal TT club and do not have my TT yet, due Oct. Also, I am still in Japan (moving soon to S. Cal). Even if I had the car, I couldn't join your events, sorry. But, I look forward to making them all (between golf games of course).

Could just be that there are a *lot* more people on the East coast.
