SoCal dreaming...

SoCal does not mean Cal
There are plenty of NoCal people here, like myself, who is a recent SoCal expatriate.

I think it is a SoCal thing...
NorCal folks seem to be more active...we have over 600 Audi owners on our email mailing list....some are from out of our area. I think the out of area folks just want to be informed of stuff going on, even if they can't participate in the events. I think part of what is going on in LA region is that it is so hard to get around people don't want to drive 1-4+ hours just to have lunch with some fellow Audi owners. It is easier to do with NorCal. The other thing is that we try to move our events around...not just congregate in one area of NorCal.

Time & distance. No time, too much distance...
I do plan on getting with you guys for a road trip but I own my own business and every time one is scheduled, I end up working. Plus you know everywhere is SoCal is 50 miles away(!) and with traffic, maybe an hour minimum! Not like the East where everyone really lives closer together.

Re: SoCal dreaming... I'm here -mostly a lurker....
I got my TT 180QC Lake Silver just before Christmas last year (A very nice Christmas present to myself) and I read the forum amost every day -several time a day! It has been a valuable source of information - especially since I have started to modify my TT. I'm also a member of the SoCal TT club but seldom go to that site. I love to attend one of Brad's drives but so far the dates have all had conflicts. I seem to far away from most other TT owners in the club (I'm in the Santa Clarita area) and would love to meet and talk to other TT owners but we seem to only have a few in this area.
