Jay "SuiTTman" and his squeeze Joyce will be in town from New Jersey around the beginning of July. This seemed like as good of an excuse as any to do a lunch meeting. I'm going to go with the suggestion of fellow SoCal TT Club member Russ, and do the meeting at Senor Lico's in Trabuco Canyon on Sunday July 1st at noon.
I know that the Porsche 356 Club does frequent meetings here, so I have extended an invitation to their club to join us. I have no idea how many 356 owners, if any, will take me up on my offer, but it's on the table.
We may do a nice drive to Senor Lico's, or we might just meet there. From what I understand, the food is decent, and the Margaritas are excellent.
I'm still trying to work out some details which will be forthcoming, along with driving directions. For now, just save the date. If you think you can make it, please let me know.

Mine got chewed up pretty good too, despite the higher air pressure. Just ordered a new carbon fibre helmet, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Not sure if I'll do San Diego or El Toro next, but I'll bet that new, ultra-lightweight helmet will shave a few seconds off of my times, dontyathink? ;-)
Enjoyed meeting you and your bud, and had a blast at El Toro!

I was about ready to drop 10,000 on a new car and wheels, tires, shocks, engine, helmet, ect... I had to slap myself and agree just to buy a new set of wheels. Its kind of nice when a slap saves you 7 grand.

Fortunately or unfortunately, my business sucks right now due to the markets (I'm a financial advisor with a major Wall St. firm), so I can't even think about spending $10k on much of anything. The good news is that I only owe $3k on my TT, and am about to get it paid off and lose the $1,140 per month payment (ouch).
However, a $120 helmet isn't going to break the bank, and I wasn't crazy about having to lobby to use some crusty loaner. Hopefully, I'll catch you at the next one.
