Default Some observations on my boost...

So I got my boost gauge installed yesterday. I've had the REVO 93 octane program for over a year. This is my first opportunity to actually see what it has been doing to my boost. I noticed that in the lower gears (1 and 2), I am peaking around 24. With the rpm building so quickly and requiring quick shifts, I'm not really able to determine where my boost is holding in lower gears. In 3 and 4, I seem to be peaking at 21 or 22, and then holding at 15 or 16. I plan on installing my boost machine today, and I want to make sure that these numbers are in the normal range before I start tweaking them with the BM. Any comments from those who are infinitely more experienced in these matters?

Default Normal, however...>>>

It seems many REVO installers are programming in relatively high boost levels...If you have access to an SPS3, dial that down a little and work it back up with the boost machine to get the best driveability, onset and response. 22-23 is about the max you want to shoot for. BM will enhance the boost hold issue, but it will not be desirable to push your boost higher with it. The ability to hold in the 18-19PSI region should be do-able. Generating a lot of heat from High boost settings can limit that though..

Ok, so I should just leave the "boost" valve closed on the BM and work only with the "onset" valve? I would ultimately like the boost to hold in the 18psi range...

Default No No No...Follow the tuning instructions....

Bring the Regulator valve up to just about where you are now in easy steps until you can see a difference. (measure this in 3rd or 4th...At cruise, lean into the throttle for The most accurate Max boost reading). Set the Onset at about 1.5 or just until you feel it starting to tighten up..
