Default some positive news re: Autostyles...(somewhat ranting)

After 2 weeks of 'I'll call you right back' BS, I finally have confirmed UPS tracking #'s for my RH Cups and they're arriving tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Although I'm pleased they're en route, I have to say the customer service I've gotten from Autostyles has been horrendous. I've purchased literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise via mail order/the net, and I've never had any vendor charge my card before the merchandise was shipped. These guys charged my card the day they took the order, and then proceeded to LIE to me about its status for a week and a half. I wouldn't have minded them charging the card before shipment necessarily, as long as I knew what was going on and they actually returned my calls. It got to the point where I was ready to dispute the charge with my CC, when they finally came through with the tracking numbers today.

Anyhoo...if anyone is considering buying anything from them, I would strongly urge you to find another vendor, if possible. Just my $.02.

I'll post some pics soon...both cars have several new mods not captured in my sig photo, so we're long overdue.

Default Actually, it is illegal to mark/settle the card until the item has shipped

I believe that is stated in Visa and MC bylaws.

So is asking for ID, yet merchants do it all the time.

Default I am sure with Amex it is the same. With a non card present transaction

for goods, you can't charge until the items actually ship.

Default I totally agree....stay away from AutoStyles!!! I just got my wheels back yesterday from being...

repaired by them.....and what a ****ty job they did. It took them 3 weeks to do what they claimed would take a week to get done. Oh yeah...if you think they'll return your calls...you're nuts!! I'll post some pics soon of the BS they call "a good job" of fixing my RH AG Cuprads.....
