Default Someone with a 180 hp front wheel drive 2002

Can someone help me? I have a VW and I would like to buy the shift linkage from the TT to put into my Jetta. We have the same transmission and if I put this in it shortens my throw.

I was wondering if someone could either check or take a picture of their shift lever inside the engine compartment. The lever attaches to the transmission and you can see a metal piece that looks like the picture that I posted. The 2002's on the VW's attach the shift linkage with a clip. Thanks in advance. I know that the 225 hp quattro has the clips and I would be really surprised if all the TT's wouldn't have this as all the VW's do too. Thanks again.

The picture shows the shift lever with the old compression type of fitting. The newer ones attach with a clip.

Does anyone with a TT have the clip type of attachment on their 2002 180 hp? Thanks...anyone who answers this for me will allow me to order this piece tomorrow!
