Default spacer hub does not match the wheel...is that a problem?

Just got my spacers and the "hub-centric" part the center diameter is less then that of the wheel, so the wheel doesn't fit over it snugly. The bolt pattern is perfect and all the rest matches up. Is the hub missmatch a problem? The wheels are aftermarket.

Default I had a previous set of aftermarket wheels and could...

never get them balanced properly. They would run out properly on the balancing machine, but once on the car, were always out of balance.

Default

was that because of the spacer and/or the wheel hub being different in size?

Default You can get hub-centric rings to match the bore on the spacer to the bore on the wheel

This will only work if you have a real lip on the spacer rather than the conical edge.

Default You need hubrings.

They take up the space so the wheel will fit snugly onto the hub of the car, or in your case the lip on the spacer.

Generic hub rings like the ones we carry work only with the original wheel hub, or on 15mm+ H&R spacers. If you have 10mm or 12mm spacers, the hubrings we offer won't work.

The rings are critical as they support the weight of the vehicle.

Default These are FK spacers, so its just an edge, no real lip. Is it safe to put the wheel on if the wheel

center is larger then the center of the spacer?

Default I have 20mm and 25mm FK spacers, whish are hubcentric for VW/Audi aplication. Is there anything

that will fit? The spacers are both type B, so they bolt onto the car and the wheel bolts onto them.
Thanks.

Default Not sure what you mean

If they have a lip like this:

You can buy hub-centric rings that will allow you to mount the wheels.

If the spacers look like this:

You're out of luck.

Do you see the difference in the edge of the center bore? The conical shape will not allow you to use rings and you should NOT put wheels on that are not properly centered on the hub.

Would you say its safe to drive it that way? Just the balance is the problem?
