I do agree,dani,most of the units out there look like crap(visually)

I would definitely consider a Nakamichi or Mcintosh or a Becker in that case.

Couldn't find out a lot about sound quality either

They ended up not having the features I wanted so I didn't look into them further. But they had the look. Also they are OEM for many companies, Mercedes comes to mind, but that was both good and bad in my mind since OEM usually doesn't equate with sound quality.
