Of course, you know I'm mentioning this because I just pictured the new commercial (the obe w/ the bulldog sniffing a Mini's tailpipe) for no apparent reason.

For now, true; however, they won't feel that way when the MicroMini hits the States!

It's an option. The standard case is canvas.

Default All I can say, as a MINI owner, is that the fad seems to continue.

Dealers generally have a few MINIs in stock, although people are waiting for MCSs. They've only been selling them about 2-3 months in Texas, though, so still hard to get here. I decided to order so could get the options I wanted, and it took 2 months -- not too bad.

I think they anticipate selling 25K a year in the US, so you'll see a lot more of them than TTs. So far, though, I get a lot more comments when driving the MINI than the TT. More race challenges in the TT, though, and it's still more fun to drive, but no complaints about the MINI.

Sure turned heads when I drove the MINI to Arkansas earlier this week -- have yet to see another TT there on previous trips to visit my sister, either. Sure the east and west coasts are different.

So the "S" is still a back order car?

Default Sorta depends. In Dallas, the dealership didn't take long lists

of orders, so once they opened, you could actually buy one off the lot -- may be able to do that now. I was in last week for tags and saw 3-4 Ss out front. You'd have to take the options they came with. When I order, Ss were taking a few months when you ordered. I think if someone shopped around (the country), he/she could find pretty much what he/she wanted. Maybe I'm wrong. The MINI boards still seems to have lots of people waiting in some parts of the country.

BTW, when you order, MINI does a nice job of giving you the production number, and from the miniusa website, you can track your car's progress. I even found out what ship it was on from England, where it was each day (not on MINIs site, but a shipping site), etc. MINI does a good job of making the whole process fun.

But service, we'll see!!!
