hard shifting up or down is usually a slave cylinder problem.

Default It's getting a little better, or I just am trying real hard to convince myself it is. . .

I did talk to the tech, he said the next steps are to adjust the linkage again (did that), bleed the clutch again (will do), then we might try putting the car back on the lift, loosening all the motor mounts, lowering the car enough to get in and start the engine. That will let the engine settle back in to a "home place" and could help line up the engine with the transmission better (or so that's his theory); might be worth a try if it gets to that point.

Default Yes I'm aware of that, slave is brand new, no sign of leaking and I have

to doubt the part was bad. Trouble is, the hard shifting does not occur all the time. Thus, it leads me to believe it's still bubbles in the fluid working their way out.

Default I did not hear that about the gear lube, though I did switch from stock to

Red Line MT-90 with no change. The gear chatter is not too bad now, it was the first few hundred miles. I knew it would chatter and since it's not a daily driver any more I'm OK with it. (Just OK.)
