Default Speed Limiter

Today I was driving on cruise control and I streched out my feet and noticed that there is a little **** (almost like a door stop) that limits how far you can depress the peddle...

Has anyone tried removing it?? If so were there any significant results??

Default Some Vortexers tested this, and have reported gains by making it *more* restrictive...

... as in, adjusting the stop so that it stops the pedal even sooner. The thought is that with the ECM adjusts throttle output in a non-linear fashion. Have you ever noticed how the car feels quickest at 4/5 throttle (mine does)?

The gains might have been butt-dyno only, tho...

yep, floor it and slowly back off and you can feel the car accelerate.

Default Re: That is interesting. I have noticed that too, and....

at a fully depressed pedal, I thought..."Is that it?" "I have this thing floored, what's up with that?". I have noticed that a lighter foot seems to accelerate better. Seems to kick in the turbo better. Rather builds up the turbo instead of bogging it down.

Might be because at WOT your ECU uses a predefined map and ignores some sensors
