Spent 6 days in North Carolina from Charlotte to Asheville

No...we're not on vacation, we're just hiding in the Triangle. There are several of us here (more)
and we're in the preliminary stages of planning a Triangle Area drive. Any Triangle Area TT owners interested? We haven't set a date yet so let me know.

Yeah, while we're away you acquire a blue wig...
LOL...We had a great time on the drive, at Duke U where our "baby" performed in an ADF commissioned piece that was a rave review netting the correographer (and our baby Brooke, too) re-stagings internationally and full funding of a new NYC modern dance company based on amazing correo...and the days at the beach in the FL panhandle were real kickback days....a short ten days, but happy, safe and well-rested. Thanks.

Tested a roadtrip route this afternoon...
I tested a road trip route this afternoon to see how it was. Part of it was GREAT! (imagine Tony the Tiger.) I picked one road that switched to dirt part way through...ooops. I guess we'll know to avoid that one in the future.
Joe, I already sent you a map image of the area I was driving in. I'll try to highlight the route I took and send out another copy.
It was very overcast but I still had the top down for most of the drive. We put it up on 15-501 heading North to Chapel Hill when it started to mist, but that rain only lasted for a little bit.

Definitely agree.
I've spent a lot of time on the roads in and around East TN, West NC. There is one in particular that was kind of a trek from my house in Seymour, TN, but it was worth the drive. It was called "The Dragon". It runs between the TN border and Fontana, NC on Route 129 I believe. It is just unreal: 11 miles/318 turns. Just watch out for the crotch rockets coming at you in your lane.<p>Jason Dale
