If you are talking about the leg brace, yes they come off. Use a star bit, I got a t30 screwdriver from True Value and it fit. I had a local custom shop cut mine into a L shape so it does not force my leg into an unnatural position. It cost $75 to get done, let me know if you want to do it I can turn you on to the guy.

They must be structural, and shouldn't be tampered with. (nt)
