That bar is pipe (hollow), right, not solid bar stock? what's the diameter - 1"?

You don't want it mounted to the rear. A potential 4" of (sudden) movement if it rotates cause your bolts aren't tight!

It's VERY thick wall. The bar is heavy.

says its chrome-moly. lightweight and strong...like the tubing used in older bicycles.

I'm not saying it is, but perhaps one of the mechanical engineers can weigh in >

since their relative ability to sustain impact depends in each case on properties specific to the piece being used: wall thickness and pipe diameter primarily.

i even doubt that the seat delete bar would bend much...more for stability in an area

that is relatively open. the aluminum seat delete bar is far better than having 2 OEM single seats floating inbetween.
