I don't see how that is any better than OEM. It is in NO way a "real" four point roll cage. If I
were enforcing the (stupid) rules at DE's in 2006, I would not let that go...
And I sure don't want to pay for one, and still be told "NO"!!!!!

I agree...I would consider a "4 point".....>>>
One like JulieM's. This style could still fold front and rear without real 4 point bracing...
The bar I had on my old Miata was a true 4 point with diagonal bracing. I would have trusted this one upside down...

It does buy you some extra resistance to side forces with the diagonal crossover, but that's it.
This plus some forward bracing would be good.
If you note in the pics, thats an RHD TT, so this is apparently made across the pond, hence the cost.

If we could get a US version made, especially if there was a variant with front braces...
that would be cool. Quite probably cheaper too.

Shipping isn't really that much. Not sure a front angle will work - JulieM's looks like it goes
back. I think hers was made at a race shop. Guess I ought to check around some shops here in Indy, there ought to be a bunch of options!
Actually hers doesn't look like it uses the stock mount holes at all. See her sig in the link.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1357300.phtml</a
