Starter problems....>
Just went to start the car and my foot slipped off the clutch before it engaged, so it stopped turning before the car started. I cycled the key and tried again; however, this time when I engaged the key to the start position, all my lights instrument cluster etc died. I have since given it some time and tried again, but same issue, the lights all go dark.
Currently I stick the key in and the car is dark, no lights no nothing, it's like the battery is dead. I used the manual bypass opened the trunk and checked the battery, it's good. I disconnected then reconnected the battery and got my juice back lights on etc. Tried to start the car and same thing, the key turned to the "start" point and a hear a brief chanck sound like maybe the solonoid and then all lights go off the car is dark again and the starter never turned.
Any ideas?

battery, battery connection(s), load reduction relay in that order. Just becasue your interior light
is on, doesn't mean the battery isn't gone.
your "relo" made have a bad connetion too.
Sounds you are hearing is the load reduction relay.
Possible, but highly unlikely this is the problem.

12.84 at the battery, but that is just sitting no
way to check under load without running it down to AZone.
Where is the load reduction relay and how would I check it?
I'll run the battery down to A zone and check it soon.

Yep, but the GTG was nice cool seeing so many TTs and Audis
together. Anyway, changing my plugs and coil packs while I'm waiting on more battery info...

Just finished the coil packs/plugs while waiting, wondering
Do you think it would hurt anything to try jumping the car? Just thought I might try it before I pull the batt and take to AZone.

He had the carbon done before I met him but
the brakes, suspension, rims, tires, etc, etc, etc, Were all after he started at the track. When I swing by his house his wife runs me off calling me a crack dealer! Unfortunately no sponsor, his bucks.
If you ever need a chiropracter hit him up he's good

http://www.texasfamilychiropractic.com/</a
