Default Starting problems?

Looking for some advice. . .

The last week I've had trouble starting my car in the morning or after it's sat for a few hours (4+). It turns over and sputters right out. It's usually the third or fourth attempt at starting, with the gas petal depressed, that I get it to rev high and then stablized at idle without sputtering out.

After the car's driven for a while, it will start right back up with no hesitation at all. I have 92k miles and my spark plugs have about 20k on them. I also have the original fuel filter / pump.

Any ideas?

Default Could be a bad MAF, but it's hard to say. Have you had the codes read with VAG-COM?

Also, just FYI, depressing the gas pedal does nothing when you start the engine.

Default Vag Com is your friend

if no codes, you could be looking at a fuel pump going out.

Default I had that problem when my coolant temp sensor was going bad.

It's a pretty cheap part (like $15 if I remember right) and takes about 3 minutes to swap, so just swap that out and see if it helps.
