Default state police on the nj turnpike any my tt

so last night i was heading home from philadelphia, minding my own business, keeping to the speed limit, trying to forget the neighborhood i was in (had to give a talk at temple university) and i see red lights in my rear view mirror.

i pull over and the officer says "hi" and he and is partner take turns looking at my car's interior... i say "are you looking for something?" and they said, "er, um, no. we well, we pulled you over because your vehicle registration has expired."

so, apparently in swapping plates with my old car, i didn't get the forms from the dmv to renew or something (the car is only 4 months old!)... anyway, after checking my record, they come back and the one guy asks if i like the car, what kind of mileage i get, how fast can it go, blah blah.

and then i got stuck with the $44 fine. sigh.

Default Unfortunately the Troopers had little choice...

...one of the results of the investigation regarding profile stops by the NJSP has been the installation of video cameras in every patro; car. The camera is automatically activated upon the institution of a motor vehicle stop.

Because the troopers are on camera, most of them are more reluctant to overlook certain violations, including technical ones such as yours. On a positive note, ther are no points assessed your license for your ticket.

Let me guess - near exit 7A??? Jackson exit is a known speed trap on the NJTP.
